Jan founded OpenMinds in 2012, a MarTech company, to provide strategic solutions, data analysis, technology development, consultancy & training programmes and a venture division to assist startups. OpenMinds managed to acquire world class brands and renowned agencies as clients. In just 4 years, OpenMinds grew to a valuation of USD5 million and features itself with amazing workplace culture.
He worked with different startups, spoke at various entrepreneurship and marketing technology events, workshops and 6,000+ pax regional conferences and has spoken on more than 300 stages globally. He is a mentor for multiple startup communities including Techstars Global and the NEXT50 Singapore initiative; and a corporate innovation mentor for Nestle and Vinda Group in Malaysia.
Jan has been featured on media such as the Forbes, The Star, BFM, Malaysia SME and The Edge on his entrepreneurship journey, digital media expertise, and the SME industry. As a regular contributor on BFM and 3-time TEDx speaker, he is recognized as one of the top 10 new generation businessmen to watch in 2020, and was listed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2017 list.
