Prof. Dr. Vincent Lee
Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor, Curtin University, Malaysia
Professor Vincent Lee is the Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor of Curtin University Malaysia and commenced his role in July 2021. Before this, he was the Acting Dean for Faculty of Engineering in 2019, and Deputy Dean from 2017 to 2018 at Curtin University Malaysia.
He is an international professional engineer, chartered engineer and chartered scientist registered in the UK, an engineering technologist registered in Malaysia, and a certified project management professional with the Project Management Institute.
With about 10 years of extensive experience teaching in the higher education sector, he has contributed significantly in teaching and research in the discipline of mechanical engineering, with specific interest in non-linear dynamics.
He is an active researcher whose research interests lie in the use of numerical and experimental methods of non-linear dynamics to solve engineering problems. He started his research work in 2013, and thus far has worked on 8 research projects.
He has been a committee member in the Institute of Materials Malaysia Vibration Working Committee since 2016. He won the Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ Young Member Award in 2018, and in 2019, he was recognized as one of the best and brightest engineers aged under 35 by the same institution.
