Seminar on “Emerging Solar PV Technology Applications” – Pune Section

The Young Professionals Affinity Group of Pune Section organised its first ever session on 24th February, 2016. It was a seminar on “ Emerging Solar PV Technology Applications” held at Department of Electrical Engineering, PVG’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pune.
Screen Shot 2016-05-09 at 6.38.00 pmThe seminar was organised to discuss the latest opportunities in the field of advancing Solar PV Technology. A number of related topics were covered including solar energy scenario in India and job opportunities, basics of solar photo voltaic technology (PV), solar system design for standalone system, introduction and applications of solar Lab instruments by Scientech Technologies and about SparQ and other training programs. The sessions of the seminar were conducted by Dr. Chetan Singh Solanki (Professor, Department of Energy Science and Technology, IIT Bombay) and Mr. Manish Joshi (Manager, Sales and Marketing, Scientech Technologies) along with his team. Further, Dr. Chetan Singh Solanki , who is an expert in solar PV delivered half day session which was followed by demonstration and exhibition of projects along with instrumentations required for such projects.Screen Shot 2016-05-09 at 6.34.56 pmThe total number of attendees for the seminar were 105 including 12 IEEE members, 15 students (UG, PG, PhD), 53 industries consultants and remaining 25 were from academics.The seminar was beneficial for the professionals of Mechanical, Electrical, E&TC and physics.
