Greetings from IEEE Region 10 (Asia-Pacific) Young Professionals. I am Nivas Ravichandran, the IEEE Region 10 Young Professionals Coordinator for 2016.

Who are We?

IEEE Young Professionals is an international community of enthusiastic, dynamic, innovative members and volunteers. We are committed to helping young professionals evaluate their career goals, enhance their professional image, and create the building blocks of a lifelong and diverse professional network.

Am I an IEEE Young Professional Member? How to become one? 

Any IEEE Member who is within the 15 years of receipt of the first degree is eligible to be an IEEE Young Professional member and would also have the option to participate beyond the fifteen-year time span.

What do the IEEE Young Professionals do?

IEEE Young Professionals through the Affinity Groups are involved in numerous activities ranging from Technical Workshops, Entrepreneurship, Seminars, Community Engagement Programs, Research Projects, Student Transition and Elevation Programs etc. Some of the programs that we are/have involved with are:

  • Technical Workshops
  • Industrial Visits
  • Leadership Congress
  • Entrepreneurial Workshops
  • Humanitarian Activities
  • Career Development Activities
  • Volunteer Training Activities
  • Mentor & Lead Student Communities towards a better tomorrow
  • Young Professional Summits

There are 57 sections in IEEE Region 10 (Asia-Pacific) and 30 of them have a vibrant Young Professional Affinity Group which are regularly hosting activities and initiatives to provide increased member benefits and satisfaction. If your section does not have a Young Professional Affinity Group write to us at ieeer10yp@gmail.com and we could help set up one.

How do I volunteer for IEEE Young Professionals?
