IEEE Conference Management Workshop & Educational Meeting, organized by Politeknik Negeri Semarang in collaboration with IEEE Indonesia Section, IEEE Indonesia Young Professionals, IEEE ComSoc Indonesia Chapter and IEEE AESS/GRSS Indonesia Joint Chapter was held on 25 February, 2017.

This event was attended by representatives from 15 universities in Indonesia. The IEEE Indonesia Section Chair (Satriyo Dharmanto), the Director at Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Supriyadi), and the Head of Electrical Engineering Department at Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Amin Suharjono) gave the opening remarks for the event.

Agenda of this workshop was as follows:

1. Organizing an Indexed International Conferences in Collaboration With IEEE, presented by IEEE Indonesia Section Chair (Satriyo Dharmanto)
2. How to Improve Quality of Conference & Conference Management Tool, presented by IEEE Indonesia Advisory Board (Arief Hamdani)
3. Programs and Activities of IEEE Young Professionals Indonesia Section, presented by IEEE Indonesia Young Professional Chair (Kurnianingsih)

The objective of this workshop was to provide more detailed information on the conferences management, which will be referred to the quality standard required by the IEEE Meetings, Conferences & Events (MCE). Followed by this was the internal committee meeting for preparing ‘IEEE International Conference on Communications, Network, and Sattelite (COMNETSAT) 2017, which will be held on Oct 5-7, 2017, at Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines). The 2018 version of this will be held at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU).

This was the inaugural meeting of IEEE Young Professionals Indonesia Section for the year 2017.
