
Aleksandar Mastilovic

Aleksandar Mastilovic is a Ph.D. candidate at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, the University of Novi Sad in Smart Technologies and Modern Mobile Networks. He was awarded the IEEE Communications Society Top 30 Global Ph.D. Students in 2015. From 2018 to 2020, he worked as Director of Telecommunications at the Communications Regulatory Agency, BiH. He contributed to the introduction of 4G networks in BiH and the reach of a Roaming Agreement in the Western Balkans region.
Since 2020 he worked as a consultant for international organizations, ITU at the UN, WBAF, UNDP and GIZ in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia respectively. Currently, he is an external expert on SME digital transformation and AI’s application in business processes in the Center for Digital Transformation of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. In the Western Balkans region, he was recognized as a lobbyist for the Smart Cities area and one of the pioneers with two practical implementations in Sarajevo and East Sarajevo. Additionally, he co-founded Smart Cities Festival, held every October in Belgrade. Cooperating with the UNDP and GIZ, he pioneers EU administration and digital transformation in public administration in BiH and co-authors strategic documents in cybersecurity.
