The Young Professionals Track of the congress initiated with an inaugural speech by Mr. Shams Shad Islam Khan, Chairperson of IEEE Young Professionals Bangladesh who, along with the other executive committee members of the Affinity Group, moderated the track. The first talk in this track focused on the leadership abilities of a fresh graduate while making their choice of career. This 25 minute session was titled “Be Yourself; Choose Your Way” and was spoken by Mr. Tariqur Rahman, Graduate Trainee at Robi Axiata Limited. The next session in the track was concentrated on how IEEE can aid a graduate’s future and create a proper résumé. The Young Professionals track was generally themed to guide a fresh graduate in the transition from his university life to his professional life. The track ended with mementos presented to the respectable speakers for their time and dedication.

Though a small part of the IEEE Bangladesh Section SYW Congress 2016, the Young Professionals track highlighted the importance of leadership characteristics in an individual’s way to profession and possible solutions to the issues that they may face. This was the first congress where IEEE Young Professionals Bangladesh played a significant role since formation and it was a wonderful success for them.
